The McIvor Estate Vineyard

McIvor Estate is located at the Southern end of the Heathcote Wine Region in Central Victoria. It lies in the picturesque hills to the west of Tooborac. This setting in the last hills of the Great Dividing Range with its large granite boulders, majestic rolling hills and imposing gullies, provides a dramatic backdrop to the vineyard and olive grove.

The McIvor Estate vineyard and olive grove is located 5km south west of the Tooborac Township down the Lancefield road and then 800m along the Tooborac-Baynton Road. The property is only I hours drive from the CBD of Melbourne.

The vineyard, established in 1997, has a north/south aspect and is nestled in a gently sloping valley on the property known as "The Gap". The vineyard consists of 14 acres of vines. Grape varieties grown are Marsanne and Rousanne for the whites, Cabernet and Merlot and the traditional Heathcote trademark, Shiraz. Besides these, there are plantings of the Italian varieties, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo.
The McIvor Estate Olive Grove

The olive grove was established in 1999 and is planted primarily to oil producing varieties, including Corregiolo, Frantoio, and Nevadillo Blanco, and small amounts of Manzanilla and Kalamata are grown for preserving. In total there are 17 acres under olives.

The cellar door continues to be open on weekends and public holidays. We will also open by appointment if requested.
