This Sangiovese, a classic Tuscan varietal is bright crimson red in colour with aromas of dusty cherries, charcuterie and hints of earth and cinnamon spice, the palate is medium bodied with tight savoury flavours, well balanced acidity and chalky textured tannins. The wine will benefit from decanting and being served at a cool room temperature. Drink now, or hold out until 2016.

HARVEST
Completed during March and April.
WINEMAKING
The grapes were open tank fermented, then airbag pressed. The wine was then aged in old French and American oak for 12 months. The wine was racked prior to bottling. Minimal filtration was used.
